DESIGN AND LAUNCH SUPPORT FOR AUTHORS

Your manuscript is finished.
Now make the book believable.

WoodBird turns a finished manuscript into a professionally designed, launch-ready book—with the cover, interior, author page, and essential assets working as one clear system.

THE REAL PROBLEM

A strong manuscript can still look uncertain.

Readers judge the promise, category, and credibility of a book before reading the first page. A disconnected cover, generic interior, and improvised launch can weaken years of serious work.

The Author Launch Kit gives every visible part of the book one job: help the right reader understand it, trust it, and take the next step.

SELECTED BOOK WORK

Designed for the reader
the book needs to reach.

Cover systems across nonfiction, family and cultural transition, children’s fiction, relationships, and performance—each built around a different promise and audience.

THE AUTHOR PROCESS

Clarity before decoration.

The same disciplined WoodBird method, tailored to authors. We begin with the reader and the book’s promise—then design the system around them.

01

Clarify

We define the reader, the book’s promise, its category, tone, launch goals, and the decisions that must guide the design.

02

Package

We establish the visual direction and build a cover that communicates the right expectation before a reader opens the book.

03

Build

We design the interior, prepare production-ready files, and create a focused author page and essential launch graphics.

04

Launch

We organize the final files, walk through the handoff, and give you a practical plan for presenting the book consistently.

AUTHOR LAUNCH KIT

The manuscript must be ready
before design begins.

Final pricing and timing depend on word count, trim size, image requirements, edition formats, and manuscript readiness. Most engagements begin with a manuscript and scope review.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before we build.

Do you edit manuscripts?+

No. Your manuscript should be professionally edited and proofread before layout. If it is not ready, the project pauses until the text is stable.

Will you publish the book for me?+

WoodBird prepares professional design and production files and supports the launch presentation. You retain ownership and make the final publishing, printing, and distribution decisions.

Can you design only the cover?+

The Author Launch Kit is the primary offer because the strongest result comes from treating the cover, interior, author presence, and launch assets as one system. Smaller scopes are considered only when they support that process.

How long does the process take?+

A standard engagement is planned around approximately six to eight weeks after the final manuscript and required content are received. Complex interiors or multiple editions may require more time.
